The 30th Santa Barbara International Film Festival – Virtuosos
Celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath and celebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell worked with Rosamund Pike for the 30th Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday, February 1st in Santa Barbara, CA.
HAIRSTYLIST KYLEE HEATH
“We wanted Rosamund’s beauty look to be somewhat modern. We decided to tuck the left side of her hair behind the ear, leaving silky, brushed out waves on the right. “

“Starting on damp hair, I applied OSCAR BLANDI ‘Hair Lift’ Mousse $23.00 to the roots. I combed the product throughout and then round brushed her hair to create shine and volume.
Once the hair was dry, I wrapped sections around a one inch barrel curling iron. I first curled the top front section and pinned up to cool. Then, I started from the back working my way up and around the head. I wrapped sections towards the right, all going the same direction. Doing this results in a wave that has structure and flow into one. I still wanted it to be soft, so once the waves were cool (when you let them set it helps with the longevity of the style), I combed them out with a wide tooth comb and sprayed with r+Co Outer Space Flexible Hairspray, $29.00
To finish I used a small amount of Kevin Murphy Easy Rider $33.24 to add shine and get rid of any fly aways.”
MAKEUP ARTIST GEORGIE EISDELL
“For Rosamund’s look for the Santa Barbra Film Festival, I wanted her makeup to have a modern and really cool edge, so I decided to keep the focus on her eyes but not be too overpowering.”
GET THE LOOK:
“First I prepped the skin with La Prairie Cellular Cream Platinum Rare $720.00.
I then used Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation $48.00$43.20 in Sand mixed with a touch of Jouer Matte Moisture Tint $40.00 in Pearl for a slight sheen.
I also used a little Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen $38.00 under her eyes to brighten and highlight.
La Mer The Powder $65.00 to take the edge off the shine and set the base.
On her cheeks I used Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour $26.00 in Rose Petal with a little Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Glow over the top for luminosity.
Rosamund’s eyes were the main focus. I used Chanel Quad Eye Shadow Palette in Smoky Eyes, focusing mostly on the lash line. I wanted a softness to the dark smokey eye so the real depth was on the lash line and I blended up diffusing the color as I went.
I lined her lash line with Tom Ford Eye Defining Liquid Liner Pen $55.00 and then applied multiple layers of Yves Saint Laurent Faux Cils Mascara $32.00 in Black to finish off the eye.
On her lips I used Elizabeth Arden Eight-Hour Nourishing Lip Balm $21.00 to hydrate the lips and let her natural lip color shine.”
